Do you have solid procurement experience and a strong affinity with engineering and manufacturing? As a Mechanical Engineering Buyer, you play a key role in ensuring that the right materials are available at the right time, under the best commercial conditions and at the most competitive cost.
As Buyer within the Mechanical Engineering department, your main objective is to support production and project delivery through effective, reliable and cost-conscious procurement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operational procurement of mechanical and technical components
• Requesting, analysing and comparing quotations and contracts
• Negotiating with suppliers and maintaining long-term supplier relationships
• Conducting market research and monitoring price and supply trends
• Managing and optimising the supplier and product portfolio
• Accurately recording and maintaining all procurement-related data
• Gradually expanding your responsibilities into strategic procurement in the longer term

You will work Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 17:00. The role is devided between two locations: Zeewolde and Biddinghuizen.

Functie-eisen

• Several years of relevant experience as a Buyer, preferably within metalworking, manufacturing or mechanical engineering
• Motivation to focus initially on operational procurement, with the ambition to grow into a more strategic role
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Fluent in both Dutch and English

Arbeidsvoorwaarden

• A one-year fixed-term contract
• Gross monthly salary between €3,500 and €5,000 based on a 40-hour work week
• Travel allowance of €0.23 net + €0.06 gross per kilometre, regardless of place of residence
• 25 days of annual leave + 3 additional roster-free days (full-time)
• 8.33% holiday allowance
• Pension accrual scheme
